About the presentations Digital tools in agriculture – from decision-support platforms to autonomous machinery – rely heavily on data. Even as attention shifts to artificial intelligence (AI), it is important to keep a critical focus on the data that are collected and used to train AI models and direct robotics. Agricultural data can be advantageous to farmers, farmworkers, researchers, and policymakers in different ways. Social and political factors influence who benefits and bears the risks associated with agricultural data collection and uses. In this three-part series, we’ll explore key dimensions of agricultural data governance with short presentations from speakers followed by Q&A.
